A. Lange und Sohne: The Richard Lange "Pour le Mérite"

If you are a watch lover you absolutely must see the new debut from A. Lange und Sohne (click on title to go to the page for specifications/images). The platinum model is especially stunning but only 50 have been manufactured. The other model, in rose gold, has a limited availability of 200. This restriction on quantity is brilliant for a work of art such as this. What instantly catches your eye, beyond the simple elegance of the classic A. Lange format are the unique blue steel hands.

Some may find this a departure and, perhaps even a distraction from the classics of yesterday from the legends at A. Lange, but I absolutely love the judicious use of this very masculine, strong color and applaud its deft integration that evokes images of the future within a historically continuous framework.

This is a timepiece for those men with a classic sensibility but a clear individuality that is expressed more subtly and with suppressed flair and strength.

Temple St. Clair: Captivating Jewelry Design

When it comes to a stunning aesthetic, Temple St. Clair has achieved top-tier status in jewelry design and intelligent use of materials. This bracelet from her Royal Blue Moonstone collection is an example of superior craftsmanship and beauty - it will take your breath away:

The weight, natural design flow and gemstone luminescence of this piece gives it at once a timeless and a magical quality that hearkens back to another time and place. The wearer will necessarily feel the responsibility of such a piece and the enduring nature that the artist has imparted to her.
